I purchased the Orange Holiday with SMS/calls at the time when 20gb was the max. It worked flawlessly in Île-de-France, Bordeaux Metro, Saint Emilion, and Nouvelle-Aquitaine. On 10 days of heavy use, I was able to use all my app, software updates, GPS without running out of data. Also knowing that I had unlimited calls and SMS to all of EU and a small allotment to call back to US in an emergency was great.
Now that they have upped the plans to a max of 50gb, I know I can rely on them should I be back to France and travel the rest of Europe.

I purchased the Orange Holiday 20gb plan directly through travel.orange.com. This was an easy set up to get my partner and I data access via the ESIM as soon as we landed. We even had 5G in some places in France. Outside of Paris, we used data in La Rochelle, Niort, Bordeaux, St. Emilion, and Reims. Phone call minutes came in handy to confirm hotel reservations and call restaurants. Averaged about 20mb up and 30 down.
