Getting an eSIM for China involves choosing a provider and installing the eSIM profile. The process varies by provider. For purchasing, most providers let you buy directly from their website with no app download required, though some like Airalo and Holafly offer dedicated mobile apps for easier management. Many providers also offer guest checkout without creating an account. For installation, the most common method is scanning a QR code you receive via email. Alternatively, some providers give you an activation code to enter manually in your phone settings, or if using a provider's app, the eSIM can often be installed with one tap. Most eSIMs can be purchased and installed before your trip, and data typically starts counting when you first connect to the network in China. The exact options depend on which provider you choose — check the provider details on each plan for specific instructions.
