Need more iPhone 14 eSIM data plans options ?

As suspected, the SIM-less version of the iPhone 14 has been presented on September 4th, 2022. Whether it is the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, or iPhone 14 Pro Max, if purchased in the US, the device is now eSIM only and does not offer a physical SIM tray anymore.
If you purchased the US version of the iPhone and migrated your main line to eSIM, you might be wondering what you should do when you travel now that you won't be able to queue purchase a travel at the airport SIM.
Should you just be back to paying expensive roaming fees ? Well of course not. This article will help you find out great options to use as an eSIM data plan for your iPhone 14 while you travel. Please note that those plans will also work on other eSIM compatible devices, and not only the iPhone 14.
If you're a frequent traveler and your activity involves visiting a lot of different countries in different regions, during a world tour, or just need a data plan that will work in as many countries as possible, it might make sense you just purchase a Global eSIM data plan for your iPhone 14. Ideally we would recommend a data plan with a long validity period, as it is very unlikely you will be able to visit more than two or three countries in three weeks.
We really love what Airalo is doing with their 20GB, Discover Global plan. The data-only package is valid for 180 days and costs a bit less than $5/GB. The plan is valid in 128 countries, and costs only $89. Compatible countries include most European countries, as well as United States, Australia, England, China, Singapore.

Another great package for world travelers is Keepgo's Auriga's eSIM plan. For $140, you get a data package that is valid 365 days and covers 40 countries. The plan is compatible in most European countries as well as Turkey, the UAE.
If you are travelling to multiple countries in Europe, you might be wondering which eSIM data plan will bring the most data for the most coverage at the best price. Europe has been really simplified when it comes to roaming for European subscribers (when you have a local phone plan, usually intra European Union roaming fees have been pretty much abolished), which benefits a lot to prepaid plan users too. Here are some nice data packages options for trips to Europe to make the most of your iPhone 14 during your trip.
Small data needs (3GB or less):
Nomad, a US based provider, provides great and cheap deals for E.U travels. This plan is only valid 7 days and 1GB, but is very competitive.

Airalo's Eurolink plan is another great option. For $13, you'll get 3GB of data, valid for 30 days in 39 European countries.

Medium to large data needs (3GB and more):
If you need more data, then those data plans tailored for Europe are great options. You will get a better price / GB than if you were buying plans that offer less data. Keepgo's Antares plan is a very good example. For $50, you will get 25GB of data valid 365 days in 26 European countries.
Airalo's Eurolink plan exists in a 10GB variant. For $37, you'll get 10GB of data, valid for 30 days in 39 European countries.

If you're travelling to America and need an eSIM plan for your iPhone 14, you should definitely be careful as things tend to be expensive. We would recommend getting separate data plans depending on whether you need a data plan that works in South America, or North America.
For North America:
GlobaleSim's 10GB 'North America' plan is a great option when traveling North America. The plan costs $19.80 (after using our discount code), is valid for 30 days and is rechargeable! The plan also allows to add a VoIP phone number!

For South America:
Unfortunately, eSIM data plans for South America are much more expensive than anywhere else in the world. eSIM data plans for South America will cost you at least $5/GB, which can add up quickly.
In terms of $/GB, Flexiroam's data plans are the most competitive options, but for large data plans Keepgo also offers great options with similar prices.

12 countries

You can of course find cheaper options with less data included, but expect to pay approximately double for each Gigabyte of data: $10-12/GB.
Airalo's Latamlink is one of the best "cheap" iPhone 14 compatible packages we found, with a compatibility of 19 countries across South America.
1 GB
17 countries

$15.00
For $17.5, Flexiroam also offers a 1GB / 15 countries plan.
Prices for Africa as usually high. Don't expect to find cheap plans, especially if you are going through multiple countries. Here are some African plans we would recommend for iPhone 14 users that are valid in multiple countries.
Small data needs (3GB or less):
Ubigi, a France based provider, is one of the few ones providing plans for Africa. With a $9/GB pricing on average, a Gigabyte of data remains pricey but are among the most competitive. Their "Best Africa" eSIM plan offers 3GB of data and works in not less than 16 African countries.
Medium & Large data needs (3GB and more):
Prepare to spend much more money if you want to get larger data plans for Africa. Keepgo, an Israeli mobile provider, offers large data plans for Africa, through their 10GB and 25GB variants of the "Leo" plan. Be prepared to spend $12.8 and $14.0 $/GB on those two plans. Please note that Keepgo's plans each cover 25 African countries, which justify their higher price (Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa are included in this list).
If you intend to travel across multiple countries in Asia, expect things to be much cheaper and easier for your iPhone 14 data plan. Here are some great options for different price and data ranges.
Small data needs (3GB or less):
